Profile Evaluation Request - Please Help Me! [#permalink] New post 20 Feb 2011, 13:03
I am trying to understand what programs I have a realistic chance of being admitted to (for fall 2011) given how late I am in the application cycle (basically round 3).

Profile:
White Male - 26 yrs old
Undergrad GPA = 3.41 from OSU Fisher, Major - logistics, Minor - econ
Work Experience 4 yrs - 1yr supervisor role within large distribution center (managed ~ 40 team members), 3yrs purchasing specialist for major auto OEM.
GMAT - 710 (46Q, 41V) AWA 5.5
Volunteer - As an undergrad I had significant experience volunteering as a tutor for elementary school children, since I graduated I have volunteered informally at my significant other's school (she is a teacher) doing similar work.

Goal Post MBA is to take on a more strategic role - management consulting is a strong interest for me. Internal consulting / business analyst is also a consideration.

Do I have a shot at these programs this late?

Texas
Georgetown
Virginia
UNC
Ohio State

Thanks!

I think you absolutely have a shot at the schools you mentioned. Your GMAT is strong and your grades are solid as well. UNC could be a bit of a stretch - the true differentiators will come by way of your LORs and your application itself (a good resume, compelling essays, etc.). But, I see no reason why you wouldn't be qualified to succeed at the programs you listed. Good luck!
