I think your experience will be your handicap here. Did you get a chance to ask for a rejection analysis from the schools last year? If so, those are basically the golden rules that you'll need to follow. If not, really ask yourself this question - what have you done better between the time you applied last year and now? This question will be a big drawing point since all schools will ask for a re-applicant essay and the prompt falls more or less in the vicinity of what I just asked. All in all, I think you're a fair candidate for top b-schools, but because of your ethnicity, it's really hard to stand out among thousands of others. With that said, you only have 2 years of work experience. I say that if you truly want to go to b-school, go ahead and apply again (you can always reapply next year if you don't get in). But honestly, you will probably want to buff up your work experience a bit before you have a good shot.

Hi bakfed, I know I am almost 2 months late in replying to thank you but I am really sorry I have been travelling off and on and been really stuck with getting apps ready for R1, work & starting up my own business.

Thank you very much for your feedback and the truth is everything that I have written in my evaluation request has been in the lat year. I was not able to get a rejection analysis because the schools I applied to don't offer it but I concur with you that my experience is a handicap more so when I applied last year.

As for my ethincity while I see your point I do stand out in that I am not technically switching careers because I am working in Marketing right now & I am starting my own business instead of working in IT like most of the people who usually apply from my country. The marketing and entrepreneurship ties in well with my future goals so tht is not an issue for me.

Thanks once again for the feedback. Much appreciated.
