Hey there,
Thanks for the post and sorry for the delay in writing back. We were launching some initiatives with GMAT Club (if you haven't checked out the
2 Minute Videos or the
Essay Review Initiative, definitely do so!).
First off, GOOD JOB with that GMAT score - a 660 > 740 is no easy task! So I think with another year of work ex at the management consulting firm coupled with a rockstar GMAT definitely puts you in contention for a top 15 run. I know last year didn't go quite according to plan but keep your chin up.
To your second point about URM - that is definitely a valuable point in your favor but it isn't such a feather in your cap that it'll move mountains. A lot of things need to be somewhere in play / range. You might have seen more success last year, for example, with a 690 or a 700. You might be underrepresented, but that doesn't mean you're a party of 1, either. The vast majority of our URM clients targeting the top 10 have scores north of 680. So this year it'll be a nice bonus. Last year you were resting your entire application on its shoulders.
Which brings me to another point - have you looked into applying via
The Consortium? It's designed to promote diversity in education and it also helps you apply to a lot of really great programs in an effective and efficient way.
Does that help?
