As your GPA is not very high, it would be better for you to score slightly higher in GMAT. This is one parameter which is still in your control. You have ample time before the first and second round of applications.
You should aim for higher ranked colleges. The target colleges you mentioned are not very difficult to get in. Do you have international experience? If not, that might be one more area to focus on sometime before your application. If I were you, I would aim for top colleges and not the ones that you mentioned in your message. Start with FT and US news rankings and find more information on top colleges. Research about them. Use linkedin and find people in your network and speak to students and alumni of those colleges.
