Hey there.......

I applied to H/S/C/MIT too (with varying degrees of success).

Firstly, I would say try and nail the GMAT which is going to be important for the very top schools.

Once the GMAT is out of the way, I think stats wise you will have a shot at the top schools but it is very important you craft compelling essays for the adcom - showing how your past experiences tie in with your future career goals and how the MBA is "the bridge" for making this happen.

The international experience is great (and would make a good Booth slide!)

Once you start working on your apps I am sure you will cut down on the number of schools you are thinking of applying to........as you will be absolutely burnt out trying to craft 5 perfect applications for Round 1 then more for Round 2. Remember you will have to great recommendations for each app too.

I shall be attending Sloan as I am interested in the internet sector and Sloan place well in that area.

Regarding my music, I mentioned it in the application forms (but not the essays) as I did them in high school which was quite some time ago. For Booth half of one of my slides was dedicated to music and the other half to sport.

Its probably worth mentioning in your CV/application form but not your essays (unless you are truly passionate about them and still playing today which you are not). I guess its a "nice-to-have" in your app profile but certainly not a priority for the adcom.

Best of luck
