Schools applying to:
1. Kellogg
2. Smeal
3. Fisher
Considering
1. Haas
2. Hult
3. Stanford
4. Insead

Questions:
Do you think I am being realistic especially Kellogg/Haas/Stanford/ Insead?
Hult was very encouraging and said I have a great background: is it a legit/good standing school?
I have not started Haas, Hult or Stanford applications, should I go for other schools instead? What other schools in Marketing/ Market Research should I look at?

Please advice.

Thanks

kchatterjee,

I don't believe Stanford is doable. Insead, Haas, and Kellogg will be reaches, but by all means give 2 of them a shot, especially Kellogg (Michigan seems like the better "reach" school than Haas IMO). You should have no trouble at all getting into Smeal or Fisher. I think you can do better than Hult so I would not recommend it to you. Given your marketing goals, you should consider Duke, UCLA, USC, Washington (Olin), Indiana, and Emory. All place substantial percentages of their classes in marketing.

Good luck,

Pbodine,

Thanks for your feedback.
Besides Hult, I also got emails from business schools of University of Notre Dame and (Leeds) University of Colorado as well as the MMM program from MIT. Do you suggest that I apply to the programs?

Please advice.

Thanks

Kchatterjee,

Notre Dame and MIT are excellent schools, so if they are interested in you, you should follow up with them. Colorado may be a fine program but it doesn't have the "brand" that Notre Dame and MIT do.
