On dividing a number by 3,4 and 7 the reminders are 2,1 and 4 respectively. if the same number is divided by 84 what is the reminder??

I am getting D. I was trying with 55s multiples. What is the official answer ?

84=3*4*7

So the number (be it X) is not divisible by 84. This means that the reminder of X/85 is the same number X.

So we have to find X.

After trying some numbers I get 53.

Answer is C.
