E is the answer

A) X cannot be = y then the whole equation will not be zero (False)
B) if X = 5 then (X-5) is zero then whole equation is zero no matter what Y is (False)
C) if Y = -2 then no matter what X is the whole equation is zero for exmple X = 1 where 1 > -2 (False)
D) Again is X = 5 and Y is anything toher than -2 still the equation holds good but XY != -10 (False)
