The figure above represents a frame; the shaded regions represent the openings in the frame. If all line segments in the figure are either horizontal or vertical and the openings are the same size, what are the dimensions of each opening ?
(A) 4.5 cm by 5 cm
(B) 4.5 cm by 6.5 cm
(C) 5 cm by 5.5 cm
(D) 5 cm by 9 cm
(E) 5 cm by 11 cm
the frame is on the attachment thanks
