How many multiples of 4 are there between 12 and 96 inclusive ?

25


96 - 12= 84
84 /4 = 21
21 + 1 Since inclusive = 22

is it the right way to proceed ?

Another way to solve this problem is to recognise that this is an AP.
and the series is 12,16,...,96. The first term is 12, second is 16, and difference is 4. We need to find which term of the series is 96.
To find the nth term of a series we can use
tn = a + (n-1) d
96 = 12 + (n-1)4
96 = 12 + 4n -4
=> 4n = 88 n = 22
