lwh=10 ft^3

2l*2w*2h = 8*lwh = 80

volume of rectangular box=l*b*h
since each is multipleied by 2
so new volume=8 *10=80

There is a general rule for a object of any form: if we increase all linear sizes by n, all areas will increase by n^2 and all volumes will increase by n^3. So, we can apply here n^3 formula even not knowing the formula for volume. In other words, n^3 will be also true for objects of other forms, such as spheres, pyramids, ellipsoids and even tree-like objects.
