Share B - $y Sold share A at 20% profit = 1.2x = 96 ---> x = 80 Sold share B at 20% loss = 0.8y = 96 ---> y = 120 Total sale = 96*2 = 192 Original cost = 200 So he made a loss of$8

yup ...OA is A LOSS OF \$8..... I didn't read the question right during the test ......it was an easy one
