sqr(x+1)-(sqr(x)+1)
=sqr(x)+2x+1 - sqr(x) -1
=2x

I am having hard time understanding x^2 bar. Please someone elaborate.

Think slightly at abstract level.
x bar = x+1
meaning "anything" bar = "anything" +1;

In other words whatever you want to find the bar for, just add 1.

few examples
y bar = y + 1
2y bar = 2y + 1
2x bar = 2x + 1
similarly
(x^2) bar = (x^2)+1

Don't You think 2X bar = 2(x + 1) here rather than 2x + 1 or 2x + 2 as it says wherever you have x bar replace it with x + 1.

I am still confused.

(2x) bar is (2x)+1 because bar is for whole thing.
if you are talking about 2(x bar), then it is 2(x+1).

According to question x(bar) =x+1 where x is an integer ...means adding 1 to the value of inter under the bar ...
hence x^2(bar) means value of integer x^2 +1
