C sounds better to me. 'three times the price that he charges for another product'

I go for E coz it's like " three times the price at which the drug's maker....", and it uses the correct preposition of price " at the price".

I think D is wrong because "of what" refers to a portion or part of something.

**Ex. A new hair-growing drug is being sold for half the price, per milligram, of what the drug’s maker charges for another product with the same active ingredient.

Therefore my money is on C.

OA is D.
I don't have OE.

this question is from paper exam. I picked C, because I thought "Of what"
refers to partial fact.

Can somebody explain why it is D. thanks.

I think it should be 'D'. I could eliminate 'C' with one reason ->

In 'C' does 'that' refer to 'the price'?
I think it does not, because of the comma after 'the price', it refers to 'per
milligram', changing the meaning of the sentence, if you select 'C'.

You can read a great discussion by supercat here: http://www.gmatclub.com/phpbb/viewtopic ... sc&start=0
This question is of poor quality as there are multiple possible answers depending on the style you want to use. By doing many problems, you will find which are of good and bad quality. Do not overanalyze this one.
