a) She can sing better than me but she isn't as pretty as I.
b) She can sing better than me but she isn't as pretty as me.

which of the above two options is correct ? please explain. if possible please give the rule

It's A.

you also should correct the first part

She can sing better than I (do) but she isn't as pretty as I (am).

Even I agree that 1st is correct but can someone explain why 'me' is wrong ?
what is the rule of I/me ?

nice question...i don't knw much just giving it a try....

Q.
a) She can sing better than me but she isn't as pretty as I.
b) She can sing better than me but she isn't as pretty as me.

She can sing better than me....it is clause(independent) so we need Subject and object...
she isn't as pretty as I(am) ...............as is used to compare clause so here it is right...after as.. I ...another subject...'me' should not be there bcoz it is object form...
