I completely agree with greenoak. Key is to not let the quant impact the verbal. Take a break, forget about maths and stay calm through verbal.

I just took the test today, and I found the verbal part to be really in line with what I saw on GMATPrep. I scored 42 and 45 on GMATPrep and managed to get 46 this afternoon.

Don't panick, this really is the key I think.

Like others, I will also encourage you to keep your calms. Once you have clicked 'ok' on a question then it is a history, DO NOT think about it, those 30 seconds you will spend thinking about it and then another few seconds to get your composure will put you really behind. Also, don't look at the clock after every question, in my opinion, thats a waste of time - some practice can help you train in a way that you would know how much time you have already spent on a question without looking at the clock. Finally take as many CATs as possible as I am of a firm believe that once you know your stuff you have to treat GMAT CAT as a video game, more you play more you see improvements in your reflexes.

This is just a stupid test, you can take whenever to improve on it. Do not put any extra pressure you already have upon yourself.

Good luck!
