Q) K is an integer. If the sum of each digit numbers of this K is 350, and K =(10^n)- 38. What is the value of n?


The OA is 40. Anybody please show me how to get this?

10^n=10000....000 (n is number of "0")

10^n-38=99...9962 ((n-2) is number of "9")

S=9*(n-2)+8=350=9*38+8

n-2=38

n=40

n = x+2

350 = 9x +(6+2)
x= (350 - 8)/9
x= 342/9
x =38

so n = 40
