What is this like?
I was planning on being out of town for the weekend my schools are coming. But I'm thinking of cancelling my plans if this is worth it. Does this in any way resemble an info session or will it beef up my essay if I say I met them?
Or does the adcomm not even care?

I heard a gospel that people who visit this even could have an additional scholarship, just for attending the event. And I'm also in doubt, because there will be only 2 schools of my choice out of 5 and I have to flight 1250 miles to visit the event.

I went last night to the event in Atlanta. The experience was great and gave me lots of information about various schools. One school that I had dropped worked its way back in the picture due to the admissions staff and their helpfullness.
I would go if you can.
