Hi guys,

I was just wondering if anyone here have an idea what Quant score top B-School are typically looking for? I know a lot of schools look at overall score, but I was just curious abouts this. Any inputs? Thanks

The 'accepted standard' is that you want a 80%/80% split on your quant and verbal score for the top schools. So for quant that would be a 47/48 and for verbal a 37. See here for detailed percentile breakdown: http://www.mba.com/mba/thegmat/gmatscor ... gmeans.htm

However, keep in mind the GMAT is only a single component of your full application.

I recently got a Q45 and a V22 resulting in a 550. This was my 3rd time taking the exam and it fell from my 2nd attempt of Q44 V30 610. A 22 on my verbal is more of an abberation than anything else. I score on average 30-35. Can anyone suggest what I should do at this point? My applications for NYU PT was sent. Although they will see my 610, I'm afraid they'll eventually see my new 550 score...I'm worried...any inputs would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

As ThomasD indicated, schools like "balanced" candidates.
