Quant: Stupid Mistakes [#permalink] New post 11 Sep 2006, 11:14
Need some advice on something I have noticed over and over again in my tests...

I tend to make *atleast* 3-4 stupid mistakes in my Quant, which will make a difference between a Q50/51 and Q46-48 clearly will reflect on the score. The same problems with some more time and thought and I kick myself about how simple the problem was ... so the problem is not basics, its the actual process of working on a problem.

What can I do to work on this? One suggestion (by my wife) was to practice with lesser time so as to think quickly and correctly.

Another was to make a rule of 10sec dead time from the time I read the question to the time I start working and pause before I start working. What do you think?

Thanks/

Make a list of common errors that you make and keep track of them.

Go over the list everyday and especially before taking a test.
