Hey people i am an engineer graduate going to start my first job from June 2011. I however want to finish writing my GMAT exam straight away by may 2011 and keep the score for 3-4 years till i get the suitable job experience profile.Do Business schools give more weightage to recent scores compared to those 3-4 years old during the admission process?Kindly guide me on the same.
Thank You.

Hi kartikbhat, welcome to the club.

I dont think there is any kind of weightage given to new scores in comparison to old ones. I found this info on a web page, this might be helpful to you.

I've talked to admissions officers about this. They really don't care. However, if you take it a few years ago, and you order your most recent score report, the percentiles will most likely be lower, espeically in quant. This happens because every 2-3 years they readjust the GMAT percentiles, so your old test will get adjusted accordingly
