Question about when to apply [#permalink] New post 04 Jul 2004, 15:39
a side note To Omari: Go State... It is good to here that there is a former spartan on the panel. I just have a quick question.

I just graduated from Michigan State U. with a finance degree and and I am currently getting my masters in accounting (one year program). My first question is: After I become a CPA (pending when I pass the exam) and get good job experience, how long should I wait (year wise before I apply to B-School (assuming I get 700+ on GMAT)?

Goal: top ten and nothing less

2) With U-grad GPA of 3.4, is there still a good chance of Top ten B-School?

Thanks for your time,

Dustin

Dudereno -- I was just in E.L. a couple weeks ago -- I'm a big Spartan fan, so it's good to hear from you.

Congrats on finishing up. I'd recommend about 3 years of work experience before matriculation (so taking on the application process after 2 years).

And yes you definitely still have a decent shot at a top 10 -- focus on suceeding in your job and taking on leadership roles and you'll do fine.

All the best,

Omari
