Question for Booth students - DSAC [#permalink]
30 Dec 2008, 06:07
Could somebody from Booth give me more information about DSAC? Kwam maybe? What exactly is DSAC? What does it do? How far do they go in helping prospective students? Do they provide advice for essays for example? Thanks guys!

Thanks guys! DSAC is probably the most popular student groups. There is a wide range of activities, from simply showing up for events hosting prospective to becoming a reader/interviewer. I don't know of any essay advice being handed out though.

I don't know of any essay advice being handed out though. No essay advise at all, also we do not talk about any other school, just Booth. I'm helping DSAC, but it works like when you can, no pressure unless you committed with certain activity.

Thanks guys! DSAC is a group of students who volunteer for prospective student events ranging from class visits, to interview day greeting, to admit weekend stuff and off-campus hosted events and "home city" student sponsored events. Most any prospective student event of any kind has volunteers from DSAC. DSAC volunteers pretty much run all of GSB Live ( http://www.chicagogsb.edu/fulltime/visit/gsblive.aspx ) DSAC also Publishes a blog: http://chicagogsb-dsac.blogspot.com/Those that really enjoy the stuff go on to be GA's in their 2nd year -- and actually conduct on campus interviews during their 2nd year, read applications and make recommendations for admission..... As for helping with essays, that they don't do.

Kwam, Rhyme - sorry for off-topic question, but don't you like Chicago's "new brand" - Booth? You have "old" avatars what made me wonder... Edit: Kwan to Kwam - sorry

Edit: Kwan to Kwam - sorry I like so much my avatar - the Phoenix is awesome - until I find one with booth I will keep it. Honestly I'm ok since the first minute with the name change.
