Well I'm not a marketing person but since there are no responses, I might as well chime in. I think 3 years might just be enough (or at least definitely worth a try) to apply to the programs. I feel if you have a few good stories and some progression in career, you should apply now. Looking at how the schools are going younger toward 24-25 year olds, I don't think you would really be at a disadvantage in terms of experience.
Also from last year class of G-Clubbers, there were a couple with around 2 years experience that got into top schools, IE eva23 was media marketing - CBS. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it.
