Question...GMAT 700( 48Q,38V) [#permalink] New post 03 Nov 2010, 14:08
Hello,

I scored a 700 on my GMAT 700 (48Q,38V) first try, which I thought was very good, however after viewing this forum I realized that in order to get into a top MBA ( HBS, Stanford, cbs, booth, wharton) it seems the average GMAT is more around the 740-770 range. Considering I am from MEXICO, and english is not my first language, should i take the GMAT again? Or do business schools understand that the GMAT puts those of us that English is not our first language at a disadvantage?

Thank you

Hi welcome to the club!

you score is about the average, I would not worry about this score, there are a plety of examples when people were admitted with even a lower score. Yes, they know about the fact that you are a non-native.

Did you notice also that some applicants who had 770 were dinged? Did you know that on average people take the gmat 3 times in order to improve their scores? Have you started to analyze the schools' essays?

The application process is a heavy duty task, instead of working on the gmat, focus on the applications now.
