I am still not to the point of applying yet, but I did notice that Harvard (last year) only asked if you had been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor in the PAST 5 YEARS.... is this true of most schools?

From what I recall, most schools will ask that question and whether you were ever suspended from an academic institution. I'm not sure about the period (5yrs or sth else), though.
