Question on recomendations...reply asap PLEASE!! [#permalink]
31 Oct 2010, 23:44
Hello everyone,
I am in the process of applying to Texas A&M University for a full time MBA program. 3 recommendations are required. I'm a little confused about the third one.
First recommend-or is my Project manager. The second one is my immediate lead (Technology Analyst)
I was wondering whether I could take the last reco from a friend of mine from college. We have been working in different sectors all together for the past 3 years. I work in an IT services industry and he interest lies in aptitude training.
He owns a start up which we planned out and I have been working on web-site for that start-up. I am managing the IT wing for it. Will it be ok if I take a reco from him and disclose that we know each other from college.
Please reply asap, I'm trying to meet the deadline.
Regards

Regards If you legitimately worked for his start-up, there's no reason you shouldn't use him for a rec. If he's not related to you, then I don't think there's a need to go out of your way to discuss how you met him.
