Questions about GMAT Percentile Rankings on Score Reports

Hello,
I am confused as to how the GMAT is factored into the MBA admissions decision.
1. Do applicants self-report scores, but not percentile rankings for the Quant / Verbal section?
2. Do applicants self-report scores and percentile rankings?
If case #1 is correct, do MBA admissions committees only look at the Quant / Verbal percentile after the admissions decision is made?
Basically, my question comes down to - lets say I score a 700, with 80th-81st percentile raw scores in both the quant and verbal sections. However, I don't apply for an MBA program until 2016, and by that time my raw quant / verbal sections would put me in the 75th percentile range. Would I be hurt by this? I do realize that the 80 / 80 split is important.
