Vithal,

Congratulations.

I am really happy to see your score. you got a nice score but that doesnot justify your efforts. Anyway, you scored sufficiently to apply anywhere.

Enjoy your party and have a long vacation from Gmat world....

All best for your all application processes.

goodluck....

V,

Good stuff. I haven't taken the test yet, but my only advice to you is this - It is better to spend a few more weeks and take it again if you believe you can do much better (say 740+)

Anyway, congrats once again and good luck in your application process.

That's a nice score Vithal. Most schools will be open to you with that score, and if you back that up with a solid resume, you're good to go ! Congratulations once more ! :-D :woohoo :wave

Thank you everyone!
I know it is not the best of the scores, but I have decided say "The End".

My Profile:
Name: Vithal :)
Undergrad GPA: 3/4 from IIT Madras (one of the institutes in India) in Civil Engg
Total Work Ex: 5 1/2 years till date in Software developement and proj. management
Was not involved in any community/societal activities (apart from Crane counting, and some undocumented help that I have offered to the poor and the helpless.)

But I think my USP for my application package will be persistance - it is similar to one of the ads that I have seen for describing Lincoln:
Failed,
Failed,
Failed,
and then...Persistence Pays! (this was the ad for an investment company!)
but, I still have to do a lot of introspection to determine my strengths and weaknesses!...

There you go....You are already a leader...You made a decision :-D
As I mentioned, 690 is a decent enough score and with a work ex of 5.5 yrs you should be THE GUY to be selected for any school.

Please do share your SC notes(if possible). I always follow your explanations.
Thanks !

Thanks Praveen (can you please pm me your contact? I am from Milwaukee and would like to get some apping fundaes from you)

Thank you Oksana! Good to hear from Old timers! :-)

I am attaching my SC notes - this is Gayathri's notes, to which some more useful links and things to be remembered from webster have been added.

Also, I have around 20 full length tests (from one of the sites) along with 1000CR, 1000RC, 1000SC and lots of material - which I seldom used. Please let me know if anyone is interested in getting those.

Regards
Vithal
