quick question on scratch paper [#permalink] New post 22 Jul 2012, 09:15
I know I should know this but just want to make sure:

You get the scratch pad before you begin the AWA section, then no break straight into IR.

Next, you get your first 8 min break after IR and then you can change out for a new scratch pad?

Then, after quant in your next break you can change out for a fresh one for verbal?

Do I need to ask the proctors each time or will they supply a fresh one at every break??

Thanks!

Yes, you've got it. You won't be provided with a fresh pad automatically. I recommend that you request one at each break. You may also need to swap out one of your markers--not all of them will be in great condition.

Technically, you can get a replacement whenever you need it, but that involves raising your hand and waiting while you're taking the test, and you don't want that kind of distraction.

Thanks Dmitry! If I could, I wanted to ask your opinion on another matter. I am currently roughly two weeks away from my first exam. I have consistently been scoring 680 on MGMAT CATs. I have yet to pierce the 700 threshold and was wondering what you would recommend for my most effective study habits going forward (over the next two weeks)?
