Long time lurker here...

I was curious to see how many other people are in my position. R1 acceptees, are any of you applying to R2 schools? How do you plan on working the likely difference in committing and R2 acceptance dates?

Cheers!

No way man, R1 burned me out. Plus I got into one of the two places tied for #1 on my list, so no point.

Same as soni. I'm burned out from R1, plus I got into one of my top choices.

I am done. R1 application + interview related cost put me in red for over $3000.

However, I know few others who are doing R2 even w R1 admits. It's kinda like - I know I will be going to bschool this fall, but can I do better? Got nothing to lose if I try...

Also, few others realized how much they might "fit" better at other schools and regret not applying in R1.

Not I. I applied to my top three choices and got an admit, so I'm done.

Its one and done for me.

Applied to my top four schools and got an admit to my best fit. I'm done.

MIT is probably going to call AC in R2 and confess that they made a mistake....and offer her admit.

EDIT: :-D

I saved my stretch school and safety for R2.

Since I got an admit in R1, I dropped my safety, so I just had the one stretch school to do for R2.

In terms of deadlines, even waiting for an admit from my R2 school would leave me enough time to fully consider my R1 admits.

Ha! Not quite every school but awfully close. So maybe "a bunch of" is a bit of an understatement :-D

Hmm, looks like I did something wrong. Siiiiiiiiiiiiigh. :|

I'm nearing the end of my admissions process, but I still find myself regretting some applications and (after further research which I probably should have done before I started!) wishing I had applied to one or two more schools.

In any event, congrats to you all! By reading your posts, it seems like a lot of you really had your stuff together ----- that might be even more commendable than the awesome acceptances! :-D
