R1 vs R2 at top b-schools [#permalink] New post 24 Nov 2011, 03:06
Hi

I have applied to 4 schools in R1 (and have been interviewed by 3, admission offer from 1, awaiting results from the remaining schools). Now I am planning to apply to 2-3 top global b-schools in R2. What is the difference between R1 and R2 at top schools in terms of competition and acceptance rates?

Thanks!

Hi,

Round 2 is generally considered tough than round 1 and round 3 is tougher compared to round 2 or round 1. However given your application is equally strong in all the rounds it’s not that difficult.
Round 2 and round 1 given you maintain the strength of your application as judged equally. Round 3 gets competitive.
