P + K + M = 162

P = 2K, P = 1/3M

Hence K = 0.5P and M = 3P

P + 0.5 P + 3P = 162
or 4.5 P = 162

P = 18 * 2 = 36
K = 18
M = 108
M - K = 108 - 18 = 90

p,k and m are in the ratio 2:1 : 3

thus 6 x = 162
x = 27

mark hours = 27 *3 and kate hours = 27

thus difference = 27 *2 = 72

The ratio is P : K : M = 2:1:6 and not 2:1:3
Hence 9y = 162
y = 18 (common factor)

Hence M-K = (6 - 1)y = 5y = 5 * 18 = 90

p + k + m =162

p = 2k
p = m/3
Solving we have m -k = 18*5 = 90

p + p/2 + 3p = 162

3p/2 + 3p = 162

p/2 + p = 54

p = 18 * 2 = 36

So M - K = 3p - p/2 = 108 - 18 = 90

Answer - D
