What improvement have you made to ur profile since your last app
This is almost a query in every re-application

Is clear articulation of goals, mentioning what was not mentioned earlier on a valid improvisation in candidacy?

I would say yes. However, describe the details that allowed you to more clearly articulate your goals. Such as networking with professionals in a career your interested in, research, and even directly contacting a few target companies.

IMO, your differences need to address actions you took not just give the impression you thought a little harder over the year.
