Re-take follow up (710)

Hi all,
I just wanted to post a follow up on my application experience, not my GMAT writing experience. I originally scored a 610 and was wondering if I should re-write since the school average was 620 that I was aiming for (don't want to name the school) and I was just sick of studying and the insane cost of the exam having never written a standardized test like this. In the end I rewrote after receiving really good advice on here from AjiteshArun (Jamboree), rather than the copy/paste advice commonly seen here.
Anyways, I rewrote and scored a 710 and for me it completely changed the game of my application: I applied 5 days before the application deadline and had a response for an interview even before the deadline. Had the interview the next week, right after the deadline and within 4 days had an acceptance and a scholarship that made the tuition very reasonable. By that time, others were still waiting on interviews and I already had a response.
Honestly I never even considered getting a scholarship so it was a complete bonus but even without the scholarship, rewriting was an absolute game changer in my application process; I didn't want to spend the money on the 2nd exam but it paid for itself multiple times monetarily and in lowering my stress level during the application process.
I'm not saying everyone should rewrite and that everyone will score higher or score their ideal number but I just want to remind you that there are many benefits to a higher score and often times, especially after your first test, you have more to give with a little more effort. Keep in mind though I only used the 2 GMATprep tests and studied for 5 months in total so I left a lot on the table in terms of resources, learning and practice tests.
