To be honest, you were probably overshooting.

You're an Indian with an engineering background working in corporate banking/treasury. Outside of work, helping poor Indian kids. Solid stats. Nothing wrong with you -- it's just a bit too middle of the road for the kinds of schools you're going for where you'll be up against applicants with more coveted backgrounds and resumes.

For your goals (wealth management), focus on NYU, Cornell and Yale as sweet spots. Maybe one of Columbia, Booth or LBS as a stretch (choose 1). And then 1-2 safeties like Oxford, Cambridge.
