Bradley13,
You have a strong and distinctive profile and should be able to aim high. They won't expect much community involvement because of your work, and military service is probably viewed as "public service" by the adcoms. They like military folks and they leadership they bring to the table. Not sure if you're quite Stanford or HBS material, but you should have a shot at the following schools: Chicago, MIT Sloan, Michigan, Kellogg, Yale, Tuck, Virginia, Duke. If you also wanted to take a chance with Wharton, Columbia, or Haas, I probably wouldn't try to discourage you. Be sure talk up your leadership experiences in your essays and give them really focused, due-dilgenced goals--show them that though you've been in the military you already have a network in the business world and know what it's about.
Good luck,

Good stuff. I'm glad to see i'm competitive at schools in the top 10. Of those you mentioned I'm leaning towards Chicago(great city), MIT, or Tuck. Possibly I'll take a shot at Wharton or Columbia to see if I can get in. Is there anything I could do to give myself a better shot at HBS/Stanford? I think I could bring my GMAT up more if that is worth the effort. If you think these two are too long of a shot then maybe I should focus more on making my other packages as perfect as possible. How does LBS look upon military applicants?

Bradley13,
Interesting question regarding LBS's take American military folks. I would guess positive for the same reasons as U.S. schools: leadership, teamwork, and discipline come built in.
To advise you more on HBS or Stanford I would need to discuss your profile with you in greater detail, since it's a highly subjective "gut" thing. But basically it comes down to the unusualness of your experiences and the degree of your impact, responsibilities, and leadership. You need something "special", as much as you can bring, for HBS and Stanford. Unless you raised your GMAT to the 750 territory or more, lifting it wouldn't help you very much. Better to work on ensuring that your reco letters are devastatingly strong and that your goals are very savvy and due-diligenced.
Good luck,
