I encountered a particular problem with my recommenders.

Inititally I selected four of them, with priorities 1 to 4, and they all agreed to write recommendations and were very supportive. However, when I tried to contact each of them again to give them the information about the the schools and the points to emphasize, I was not able to contact recommender No. 3. Hence I sent a mail/left a message and redistributed her schools to the other recommenders. After a week, she contacted me saying that even though she was too busy till then, she now wants to write the recommendations. I told her that she didn't have to write and that I'll manage it with someone else, but she insisted. I didn't have the heart to tell her that she can't and that her slots were given (after all she was kind enough to agree to help), so I submitted her name as the third recommender to a couple of the schools.

Now I don't know how I can explain the third recommender in my application.
Moreover, since recommender no.3 is busy, I am not sure if she will write a good recommendation or a new perspective.
I wanted to know how this spoils my chances.

See if you can use this recommendation as just a *general* recommendation for jobs and what not. If you're not confident that it will be a strong b-school recommendation, then you definitely don't want it.

My recommender will be filling it online. So, how can I prevent it from being read by the admission commision?

Under normal circumstances, I would've said that she will give me a strong recommendation. But she just moved to a new job, and she seems to have a lot of responsibilities there, which might be more important to her than writing me a recommendation letter.

If it's online and you can't "intercept" it before she submits it, then I would ask her to NOT do a reco for you. I know you don't want to insult her or damage the relationship, but a lukewarm reco is far more damaging!

Ask her to write a reco for Fake University and hand it to you on paper... ;-)
