Recos from HR Manager [#permalink] New post 25 Apr 2007, 01:57
For an app that needs 2 recos, i'm planning to take one from my current manager. For the second one is it okay to take it from an HR manager in my firm? I've done a lot of recruiting for my company and so I have a good rapport with a senior HR manager in my org. In addition to my work with recruiting he is also privy to feedback received from my managers over the years that I've been with my company. So even though we don't work together on a day to day basis he has a pretty good idea of my skills and achievements.
So will he be a good person to get recos from?

Have you got a previous company?

I mean, your recommendation from your line manager can easily incorporate the recruitment work you have done if you advise them to. That way, it is captured.

Bar that work, your involvment with the HR manager is minimal, and they may not be able to offer quite such strong answers to some of the questions asked.
