Recos from the current manager .... [#permalink] New post 22 Aug 2008, 08:57
I am applying to 8 different schools and almost each school needs at least one essay from your current manager.

Is it okey to ask my manager to write recos for all the 8 schools that I am applying to or is it too much to ask of someone ? Or should I be looking for someone else, above me, to write recos for some of the schools ?

Please advice.

That's definitely pushing it. You better make sure that you do as much of the legwork as possible for him/her. Line up all of the forms, cross-reference the exact questions which are duplicates at School X and School Y, etc (River has a post on what he did-and he applied to only 3!). I would say if this is a "must year" for you, then go for it. If you may need to go back to this person again next year, in case you don't get in this year, 8 is not a good idea...
