Can someone please help me.
On the GMAT AWA, if you don't know the gender of the author is it correct to refer to them as he? I'm trying to avoid using the word author many times in one sentence or paragraph.

Thanks in advance!

I have the same problem. In the Kaplan book when they speak about the author (not only in the AWA section, but also about RC or CR texts) they always refer to her as "she". Is there a reason why the author is always female?

Greetings, Joris
