What is the remainder when -203 is divided by 13?

MA: could explain why it is not 8? I think it has to do with negative sign.

umm. 13*(-16)+5=-203
13*15+8 wouldn't work
Am I on the right track?

Yes you are. That what I wanted to share with you guys. I learned it few months back.

Remainders are NEVER negative.

on this one "13*(-16)+5=-203". since reminder cannot be -ve.
