Goal: to move upfront in the same industry. basically move out of the research line to direct investing.
Age: 24, Female, Indian. residing in India
GMAT: 710 (Q: 50, V: 37) AWA: 5.5
Academic:
Master of Business Economics
Major: Econometrics and Finance
Year of Grad: 2009
GPA: 3.9
Bachelor of Business Economics
Major: Econometrics and Finance
Year of Grad: 2007
GPA: 4.0
During College: member of Environment Club & senior editor at the Department. Was also in the organization committee of a few events.

Need help in shortlisting MBA schools in which i stand a realistic chance.
Am also particularly curious about the MFin program at MIT. Wondering if i stand a chance there.

Shoooooot.
With a 710, a 4.0, work in a top hedge fund, and being female (it helps!) you have a good setup behind you.
I would apply to a good mix of schools with strengths in Finance, some a bit harder to get into, some easier: Wharton, Harvard, MIT, Chicago (those were the harder ones), Columbia, NYU (a bit easier), Johnson, UNC (and a bit easier than that).

Do you think you'd be able to geta post MBA return offer from your employer? since you wanna stay in industry, it could help out. And it could be really nice for you.
