Dear,

Name - Madhu
Passport - India
Education - Bachelors in Electrical Engineering Purdue University (April 2010)
GPA - 2.67
Work ex - It will be 3yrs and 4 months if taken from April 2010 till August 2013.

Here is the thing. Though i have graduated in april 2010. I was actually working from Feb 2009. I have finished all my core courses required for graduation in Feb 2009 itself. What left behind were general eduacation courses like (spanish, art, music...) I had the option of doing these course through distance learning. Hence, i have opted for it and stated working full time (not internship) from Feb 2009 itself. I am quite not sure if this can be counted as work experience too. If it is then i will be having 4yrs and 6 months of work ex.

Gmat - 650 (planning to take again hoping to get 700)

My Work ex -

I started of as a marketing executive for a digital sinage borads design company. My work comprised of doing extensive market research, getting the clients and pass on the feedbacks to the devlopment team.

Later i started working for my own company we do IT consultancy services for the government. It is a public listed company,the company turnover was $20 million when i started working and now it is a $60 million.
I started as a project manager worked for 2 years and now i am the head of the operations and head of business development. My contributions in secured getting new projects for the company and diversifying the companies presences. I currently overlook 3 projects across 13 different states. My team comprises of more than 2000 people. My job comprises of sever micro as well as macro level planning, intense optimization, and a lot of statistical analysis. I identified various opportunities in other industries and get the company business in other segments. (The company for the past 10 years has been doing only IT services and 90% of their revenue is from the Govt of India. No we trying out other industries also such as media, infrastructure...)

Also attached is my resume.

Volunteer work - Member of Rotary club, help teach poor students in rural villages, health awareness.

I am planning to apply for B schools in USA. Kindly help me in figuring out some good B schools.
I would like to know my chances in Purdue, OSU, MSU, Annarbor, Kelly, USC, NYU,.....

With your current GMAT, USC, Ross, and NYU are such long shots that I don't think it makes sense for you to apply. Even with a 700 GMAT, due to your GPA, I think NYU and Ross would be out of reach. USC may be accessible if you get a 700 and there were extenuating circumstances that no longer exist surrounding your undergrad GPA.

I think you currently have a chance at OSU and MSU. Obviously a higher GMAT will increase your competitiveness and help them overlook that GPA.
