Hey there dude,

So first of all you have some FANTASTIC work experience, what will your promotions, publications, bringing in new clients.... All this is great and is EXACTLY what the AdCom is looking for - a kind of "shooting star" profile, and this will go a long way to help you differentiate yourself.

On the less good side is our school and GPA (Top schools take mostly IIT folks, and your GPA is a bit low), and your GMAT is good, but not great.

In the question of where to apply to - I think that your GMAT and GPA together will make the best schools tough... so the question for me is - Do you wait one more year and retake the GMAT? Now, my opinion is that if you think you can get 30+ points higher you should DEFINITELY wait. Look at it this way - you are doing amazing at work, you have raises and promotions, etc.... the main thing that is missing is a fantastic GMAT, and if you get that GMAT then you can apply to a school of a whole new order.. and since you only do an MBA once in your life, I think it's totally worth it.

The only case where I would say go ahead and apply this year is if you feel like you have already reached your top score with the GMAT (let's say you took it five times and this is your top score), otherwise, be patient, study hard, take your GMAT, get a 720+ and THEN apply to ISB next year with REAL chances (And good US schools too!)

What do you think?
