Hi MBADecoder,

Thank you for replying. If it is possible, could you please mention some of the questions that you require me to answer to make some informed suggestions?

I understand that I have moved around a bit in these 3 years but I do have coherent story that could back these decisions. I think it would help strengthen the application.

Other than that please let me know if there's any other info that I can share. Thank you.

Hi awindersingh,

Is it University of Washington or University of Wisconsin-Madison?

University of Wisconsin-Madison is strong in placing its graduates in CPG industry. You may also consider Purdue University.

7-8 schools are manageable, but you need to put in lots of time to complete so many applications. It’s on the higher side.

Dear Anil,

Thank you for your kind advice. It is University og Wisconsin-Madison. I had also heard god reviews about their Marketing placement. What would you say about the following schools:
1. Mays- University of Texas A&M
2. College of Business at Illinois Urbana-Champaign
3. Simon School of Business- University of Rochester

I understand the number of schools are on higher side. I'm doing my best to keep things on track. Really want to land in one of the target colleges this year.

Hi Everyone,
For marketing, I would certainly look at Wisconsin and I would also look at Columbia, Fuqua, Ross, Booth and Kellogg, McCombs and UCLA.
I am from India and looking to start my 2-year full time MBA in Fall 2017. I have already appeared for GMAT and secured a score of 700- Q50, V34. (This was my 2nd attempt; last year I got 680). I am a working professional with more than 3 years of experience. I'll just highlight major points in my profile here:

1. Experience of more than 3 years.
a) 8 months in Reliance Industries Limited as Graduate Engineer Trainee.
b) Then moved on to work in a startup in sports sector for almost 1.5 years. Held multiple responsibilities, majorly Business Development and Strategic Planning. Pitched the project to international sportspersons, brought them onboard. Made multiple associations. Conducted events and handled team of volunteers and interns.
c) After this worked as Market Development Specialist in an Education startup for 8 months. Major responsibilities included business development: pitching the project to schools, counsellors to bring them onboard. Conducted workshops to bring in additional revenue. Developed the workshop product.
d) Just recently moved to a different Education entity as Territory Manager. Same role, but more organized and bigger region to look out.
e) Side-by-side working on building a video production house by bringing together theatre artists and video editors. Running a youtube channel for which I'm handling the entire digital marketing. Doing BD again to bring in a steady stream of marketing projects for startups in Delhi/NCR.

2. Extra-Curricular- Very actively involved in extra-curricular in college. Started 2 societies and built a team of 60. Mainly involved in theatre activities for society upliftment, community service.

3. I am looking to earn a Marketing degree and further move on into consumer products industry.

4. Currently I have three colleges shortlisted: ISB, Kelley and Madison (University of Washington)

Please guide which other schools are good for my profile. I am looking at US colleges only. I want to apply in the early rounds for better admission prospect. I want to apply 7-8 schools.

Your advice and time will be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
