hey guys, i am planning to apply for a masters in finance ( not an mba) and i had two questions.
1) i worked as a research assistant to a famous economist who ran his own portfolio management firm, so in addition to assisting his research for his own papers , i also contributed towards his decisions as a portfolio manager. now even if that is not a stellar job with a lot of decision making potential, i still learned a lot about global finance. Will this count as work experience ( i was getting paid for it and it was not in a university setting but rather as part of a firm). I have about 7 months of it, let me know if this is enough to apply for a masters in finance.
2) im looking at schools in the us and canada..any reccomendations....
thanks
peace
Karan
