Research/Writing jobs in the private sector? [#permalink]

I recently finished a Master's in Economics / Public Policy at a university in Latin America. I've really been looking to find a research / writing job in the private sector, such as working at a bank publishing economic research.

Does anyone know of a good resource to find a directory of firms that would hire for these sorts of positions? Or have any recommendations of firms?

It seems that a major roadblock that I've encountered in "lack of experience." I'll see how the summer goes, but if I still don't have a good job I'm definitely going to start applying for PhD programs this fall.

(Sorry if this post is off-topic for the forum, I didn't know of a better place to post it)

Many banks have the position of Chief Economist, who is generally helped/aided by a team; some non-banking financial institutions/firms have similar positions too.
