The original - Can – stands for all the arms of the series. Any more use of -cans – randomly, unless repeated for each and every arm, breaks the parallelism. C is the only choice that avoids the –can- . So that is it

Parallelism - can sense changes in the earth's magnetic field, see light waves that people cannot see, detect low-frequency sounds from miles away, sense changes in air pressure, and can identify familiar odors.

Last segment is not parallel - identify familiar odors makes all the items parallel.
