D

altough I have reservations. E is wrong (are capable). able to be is considered wordy by ETS (at most times), and as I have posted in another post, I prefer like to compare nouns and as to compare actions so D.

This is good one :)

I take on 'E'.

A, B & D - 'as humans' is wrong
C - sounds as if 'humans can be trained to communicate'

Only C and D are the choices because Dolphins are not able or they are not capable. these verbs mean to dolphins themselves have this ability to be trained. but the sentence means if dolphins are provided training, they could do as humans do.

C is wrong because "like" is not used to compare the actions. so remains D.

OA is E.

we are comparing two actions here so as will be used instead of like.

so C is out.

only E maintains the correct comparison.
dolphins are capable of being trained to communicate as humans do(communicate)
